Thursday afternoon - Honey tasting, Danish cultural activity

Apart from Libera and CISV partecipants, there were also 5 asylum seeking men aiding in the day's work at Cascina Caccia. This broadened the experience at camp by bringing new perspectives from a 4th global continent; Africa.

After lunch and siesta, the Danish delegation presented their activity by begining with a licorice eating energizer!

This was followed by a Fill-In-The-Blank questionnaire about Danish society and economy. Although the Danish girls loved their salty candy, we must admit that not as many other participants were as fond. Haha.

The questionnaire lead to deep discussion about democracy, healthcare, living wages and many more issues within and without the European Union and abroad.

Break for dinner, and then we had the honey tasting!

We learned about the production of honey according to the professional bee-keepers here and the different kinds of honey! We even got to taste two flavours!

Many more were fond of this sweet treat.

We continued the Danish activity; a treasure hunt called "The Road to Denmark".
This game outlined the difficulties of immigrating to Denmark for those who are not EU members.

We enjoyed the fullfilment of the differing of opinions on the subject and the broadening of everyone's knowledge.
